Unprofessionel Florence Police

This bike lane violation was reported at 3.00 P.M. I wasn't taken serious, the lady at the reception didn't even border to ask where the violation took place.
1 hour later I checked the same place. There was another additional vehicle parked so I went back to Florence Police and complained again. I received their standard answer: "the bike lane is not properly marked" which is total bullshit! I insisted to talk to an officer. After 15 minutes waiting time I got to talk to Gabe Glowacki. Gabe was trying to convince me that it is OK to park halfway on the sidewalk and halfway in the bike lane!!!!!!!!!!! He did even a drawing to make it very clear?!
Oregon Driver Manual 2007-2009: A solid white line with a bicycle symbol on the side of the road means this is an area for bicycle traffic only. (Page 26)
Do not drive on a bicycle lane. You may cross a bicycle lane, such as when turning or when entering or leaving an alley, private road, or driveway. Do not move into a bicycle lane in preparation for a turn. (Page 76)
Drivers need to remember that road hazards not easily seen by drivers of cars or trucks may hamper a bicyclist. These hazards could include potholes, glass, litter, storm grates, and railroad crossings, as well as opened doors of parked vehicles. Any of these items could cause a bicyclist to move into your path or to slow down. Give bicyclists plenty of clearance on the street so they will have room to move around these hazards. (Page 77)

I bet you ten to one that you can't park in a bike lane in Sacramento!
Why don't they pass a constitutional amendment prohibiting anybody from learning anything? If it works as well as prohibition did, in five years Americans would be the smartest race of people on Earth.

30 Min Parking in a Bike Lane?
We wonder if this is legal ...
... 30 minutes parking in this marked and signed bike lane
just across from Spruce St & 28th Place
The gated entrances should be designed to allow vehicles to turn around within the driveway, without backing into the adjacent street, and supply sufficient storage for vehicle queues without impacting traffic flow along Spruce Street.
